Happier Hounds Dog Training works in partnership with Compass Education , to provide correspondence courses with practical training and assessment through the Easy Lead Canine Education and Training Courses.
Easy Lead Canine Education and Training offers two accredited courses. The initial Canine Behaviour and Training Course and the progression course Canine Training and Instructing, both courses are accredited by the Institute of Animal Care Education, providing successful participants with a recognisable valuable course certification.

Canine Behaviour and Training
This course is comprised of 6 modules, 4 home study modules and two practical modules completed at Happier Hounds Dog Training.
Modules include:
- Ways of explaining Canine Behaviour
- Understanding Canine Behaviour (Puppy and Adult Dog Psychology)
- Canine Learning
- Dog Training
- Pet Dog Obedience Training
- Advancing Pet Dog Training
Participants are expected to complete the course within 1 year.
Start date: September.
Practical modules are run over a total of six days during the summer months, participants are required to have their own dog (or a dog they can work closely with) for completion of the practical modules.
Course fee: €395
Canine Training and Instructing
This course is also comprised of 6 modules, 4 home study modules and two practical modules completed at Happier Hounds Dog Training.
Modules include:
- Canine Communication
- Causes of Behaviour (The Internal and External Environments)
- Behaviour and Problems and Solutions
- Application of Theory in Training and Problem prevention
- Canine Assessment and Training
- Instructing Dog Training Classes
Participants are also expected to complete this course within 1 year.
Start date: September.
Practical modules are delivered, and assessments made over a five day training course and in addition participants must perform at least 8 hours supervised instructing.
Course fee: €555
